Rising Perspective

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers understand a landscape by looking carefully at its forms, viewpoints, maps or changing conditions. Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial option.

What fits

Strong proposals have one clear question, a defined landscape topic and a useful reader takeaway. Possible subjects include how a landform affects a view, what a map can and cannot show, or why weather changes the appearance of distant terrain. We favour evergreen pieces that can be explained without specialist equipment, risky fieldwork or claims that need unverified data.

What to include

Tell us the working title, central idea, proposed category, intended reader and the main points the piece would cover. Mention the sources or references you expect to rely on, and disclose any relevant commercial or personal interest. A short, focused pitch is more useful than a complete draft sent without context.

How to send it

Use the Contact page to submit a proposal. Please do not include confidential material or assume that a pitch has been accepted until there is a clear response. We may edit accepted work for accuracy, structure and house style.
